What simpler.house keeps, and what it never has

Your drawings are never stored. Files you drop stay on your device; only the plan pages you choose are sent, once per reading, to be read by an AI vision service, and no copy is kept by us after the reading. Pages you don't pick are never sent at all. What the reading produces (room names, a schedule) is what gets saved, not the drawing.

What is stored while your program exists: the program itself, its change history (every edit, with the name typed in "Signing as", if any), notes people send from shared links, and the share links you created. Stored on Cloudflare infrastructure, kept until you delete the program.

Deleting: Settings → "Delete this program" removes the program, its whole history, all notes, and every share link, immediately and permanently. There is no account, so there is nothing else to delete.

On your own device: an unsaved reading is kept as a draft in your browser so back-press and closed tabs don't destroy work. It stays until you save, discard it, or it expires. On a shared computer, use Discard.

This site sets no cookies at all, so there is nothing to consent to. No accounts, nothing sold, and no tracking script of ours on any page. (Our host offers a page-view counter and we have it switched on, so its tag sits in the page; this site's security policy blocks it from loading, so it never actually runs, and it sets no cookies either way.) We keep aggregate tallies on our own server, about how the site is doing and never about the person reading it. Each is one row recording one event: what happened (a page served, a plan read, a program drawn, kept, shared or reopened), the country the request came from, whether the device was a phone, and whether the request announced itself as a bot. Every field is a single word from a fixed short list. No row contains an address, a cookie, a session, an account, a file name or any reference to a particular program, so no two rows can be joined to each other and none can be traced to a person. Those tallies never contain who you are. To stop one person flooding the service we count requests against a one-way hash of your connection, never the address itself, and every one of those counts is erased within a day.
